Surh Cellars 2019 Mosaique

Comprised of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, it initially appears reticent, ripe, intense but nevertheless fruit driven. Aromas of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla and pumpkin spice wrapped beautifully. Cabernet Franc adds a dimension of silkiness, and a touch of Syrah lends sweetness to the finish. What starts as a bowl of blackberry and cherry compote notes with subtle oak slowly opens up to reveal a well-integrated complete wine. With a few hours of aeration, it gains body and complexity as oak emerges.
