Surh Cellars 2021 Merlot

This wine initially appears reticent, ripe, intense but nevertheless fruit driven. Aromas of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla and pumpkin spice wrapped beautifully. Cabernet Franc adds a dimension of silkiness, and a touch of Syrah lends sweetness to the finish. What starts as a bowl of blackberry and cherry compote notes with subtle oak slowly opens up to reveal a well-integrated complete wine.
