Surh Cellars 2020 Chardonnay

Perhaps a skosh reticent at first, this fresh Chardonnay is all about lip smacking layered fruit of citrus, apples, pear and butterscotch. Barrel fermented in mostly neutral French oak, it is neither buttery nor oaky, however. Hopefully the layered texture develops over time, but it is fruit forward at its young age. If it is like their past Chardonnays, it should age gracefully for about 10 years.
