The 2023 vintage expresses the silky mouthcoating texture that is a hallmark of Ancien's Carneros bottling. The cool season emphasized the brightest notes, raspberry, strawberry and cherry fruit intermingling with deeper berry notes. Subtle earth notes, anise, sage and truffles provide depth that appears gradually as the wine opens up. It is concentrated on the palate while lively and balanced with velvety soft tannins.
